| Firefighter Stalker Earns Paramedic Certification |
December 2010, Firefighter Joseph P. Stalker graduated from the Elliot Hospital’s Paramedic Program at the New England EMS Institute in Manchester, NH. This 16 month program included classroom, practical and clinical hours totaling over 1600 hours. Curriculum for program included pharmacology, advanced cardiac and respiratory care, extensive anatomy and physiology knowledge, advanced trauma care, pathophysiology and other medical topics. | Firefighter Gayer Promoted to Lieutenant |
Firefighter Jesse Gayer has been promoted to Lieutenant replacing Captain Gary Lambert who retired with three decades of service to Hooksett Fire Department. Lieutenant Gayer begins his new duties on April 4, 2011 on "Group 1". Lieutenant Gayer holds three Associates Degrees in Fire Science, Fire Prevention, Fire Protection and other State of NH Certifications.
We wish Lieutenant Gayer the best as he begins the next stage of his fire service career. Congratulations Lieutenant!

Hooksett Fire - Rescue Department
Welcomes Firefighter Richard Gurecki |
Richard (Richie) Gurecki 25, is the newest member of the Hooksett Fire – Rescue Department family. Firefighter Gurecki joins us from Frisbie Memorial Hospital working in the emergency room. A graduate of Palomar College in San Marcos California, Firefighter Gurecki earned his Associates Degrees in Fire Technology and Emergency Management. He also attended Northeastern University where he earned his Paramedic Certification. Firefighter Gurecki is also certified in additional Advanced Life Support classes and New Hampshire fire service programs.
Firefighter Gurecki served his Country in the US Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California and an overseas assignment in Iraq where he served as an aircraft rescue firefighter.
With the addition of Firefighter Gurecki to the department, paramedics are now assigned to each of the four shifts.

Lieutenant Sean O'Brien To Retire After 28 Years of Service to Hooksett |
When he reports to Station One on July 25, 2011 Lieutenant Sean P. O'Brien will be doing so for the last time. After nearly 28 years of service to the Town of Hooksett, NH Lieutenant O'Brien will be retiring.
Lieutenant O'Brien comes from a family where community service is part of live. Starting with his grandmother who was a teacher for 43 years. His father retired from the Hooksett Fire Department after 25 years as chief of department while his mother served on the ladies auxiliary. Later his step-mother served with Hooksett Fire Department, town treasurer and budget committee. There has been a member of the O'Brien family in community service to the town of Hooksett since the 1930's. Read More... |
